Demonstration execution training in Russia

The video of the training exercise of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the police (OMON) of the Russian Federation, which took place in Tyumen in April leaked to YouTube. In it one sees "protesters" (whose role was played by military staff and security officers) being dispersed by the troops.

According to the scenario of an instructional video made by the troops, demonstrants set up barricades and a tent city on the city’s central square, as was the case during the Euromaidan in Kiev. The protestors were violently dispersed by the military. All the barricades of the protesters were demolished and participants of meeting shot from heavy machine guns.

The troops are using tanks, heavy machine guns, special noise installations and even a military helicopter.

This training scenario for the Russian security officers renders it quite clear that they are being trained for very serious standoffs with the civilian population of the country. The authorities aren't going to lose time on peace talks with potential protesters at all: they will simply kill them.

It is obvious that Russia’s leadership is quite aware of the development of an economic crisis and its inevitable consequences in the form of national uprising.

We would like to remind, that this it is far from being the first video of its kind made by the Russian OMON and Internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Previously, a training held in April 2014 in Saratov leaked online. Admittedly, in the 2014 video security officers were learning to disperse activists using more sparing methods – in any case there were no orders of mass executions using heavy machine guns. It appears that the Russian forces are now given much harsher guidelines for dealing with the people of their own country.
