Asylum Seekers in Miami Marching for LGBT Rights in Russia

Spectrum Human Rights activists and local asylum seekers from Russia attended the 7th Annual Miami Beach Gay Pride event on Sunday, April 14, 2015 in Miami Beach, FL. Their action raised public awareness about many difficult issues faced by the LGBT community in Russia and highlighted the problems experienced by LGBT asylum seekers. The event was attended by the following local asylum seekers: Vladimir Maximov, Alexey Tsukanov and Nikolay Bystrov.

Miami Beach Gay Pride brings together members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, their friends, allies, and supporters in celebration of the unique spirit and culture of the LGBT community to promote and celebrate advancements of equal rights.
