In the next four months, our Coalition will conduct an active information campaign on the situation with the respect for human rights in Crimea and on related problems.
For this, we created the "European Solidarity. Crimea". Coalition
We are suggesting to use all possible channels for informing a wide audience, including social networks.
With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, we are planning a massive information campaign in social networks, as well as a number of information and presentation events for which special materials adapted for Europeans will be prepared.
We call on all those who are interested in the situation with human rights in Crimea to join the Coalition and actively exchange information, plan and conduct joint actions and events.
In September-December, there will be round tables on the situation with human rights in Crimea. The events are planned to be held in Berlin, Cologne, Nuremberg, Lvov, Kiev. Additional events might be held in Leipzig and Dresden.
We also extend our invitation to join the final conferences of the Coalition in November and December, which will be held in Kiev and Berlin respectively.
In its activities, the Coalition is guided by:
● the priority of human dignity, rights and freedoms;
● the principles of absolute rejection of violent practices and discriminatory practices;
● the position of political neutrality and legal principledness.
This is a joint initiative of German, European, Ukrainian and Russian organizations.
Goals:
● providing information adapted to the European audience on the events relating to the respect for human rights in Crimea;
● informational support for initiatives related to the protection of human rights in Crimea.
● monitoring the overall situation on the compliance with international humanitarian law and fundamental human rights on the territory of the Crimean peninsula, as well as protection of human rights defenders, journalists, lawyers, as well as public figures and ensuring their professional activities;
● monitoring the German and European informational and political spaces in relation to the situation in Crimea.
In Russia and Ukraine:
● Independent journalists, civil activists;
● Ukrainian authorities;
● Representative offices of international organizations in Ukraine.
In Germany and Europe:
● journalists, civil activists, human rights activists;
● government officials;
● non-governmental organizations working in the region or on topics relevant to Crimea;
● NGOs working with the theme of the Crimea.
In its activities, the Coalition is guided by the principles of absolute rejection of violent methods and discriminatory practices, positions itself in political neutrality and legal integrity.
1. Assist the Coalition and join working groups in certain areas:
● informational direction - tracking of information about events in Crimea, distribution of Coalition materials through websites and social media, searching for journalists' contacts;
● informational and analytical direction - assistance with the production and distribution of informative and analytical products, publications, reviews and reports;
● Coalition expansion direction - searching for people and organizations willing to join the Coalition, searching for volunteers and supporters, establishing contacts with public organizations;
● volunteer work direction - translators, graphic designers, template designers.
